Out of fear of El Toro’s wrath, we started with a few side straddle hops.

Pinochle Deck – 48 total cars. 9, 9 , 10, 10, J, J, Q, Q, K, K, A, A.

Clubs – merkins

Spades – Dips

Hearts – toe touches in the sky

Diamonds – squats.

Each red Ace was 5 burpees and a mosey.  Each black Ace was 5 burpees and a run up the hill.

(Chatter  about how Winklevoss would be received in other AOs and something about Father Delco mocking the QiC in his absence on Saturday.  But I was too busy leading the group to really follow).

After deck complete, 12 merkins, 5 burpees, 12 dips, 5 burpees, 12 toe touches, 5 burpees, 12 squats, 5 burpees, mosey and a hill run.

Remember playing pinochle as a kid with my Pop.   Been gone 29 years now.  Starting my day with a beatdown reminds me to stay positive and to keep my eyes on the positive impact I can have on those around me.

Prayers for those impacted this weekend by the tornadoes.  Help them find comfort in each other amidst devastation.
