The BackBlast:

It was a rather humid morning but a great group of pax showed up ready to get after it.

I started with a quick reminder to the pax of the 5 core principles and then we started the warm up.

Dora is fighting the good fight to meet F3 Cherokee’s Merkin May challenge so we started with 10 merkins, then 10 SSH IC, 10 merkins, Michael Phelps, 10 more merkins, then Abe Vigodas. Since no one can do the Dial Up stretch quite like Dial Up, I skipped it. Looking forward to his masterclass at Valley Forge’s 3 Year.

From there we moseyed down to the tennis courts. Einstein brought the bebop & soon we had Rancid radio going.

Thang:

5 diamond merkins, Bernie Sanders to the next corner of the tennis courts, 5 diamond merkins, Bernie Sanders to next corner, and continue until back to the start.

5 regular merkins, 10 squats, carioca to the next corner, & repeat until back to start.

5 wide merkins, 10 squats, 15 lbcs, carioca facing the other way & repeat until back to start hitting all 4 corners. The pollen game was strong on the court and Delilah regaled us with stories of the various things he sees drawn on cars in the pollen at the school where he teaches. Quality mumble chatter.

We took a break with a bit of the people’s chair followed bttw. It may have been Commish’s first experience with the latter exercise, I did not get the sense that he enjoyed it.

We took a quick lap around the Abe Vigoda Pagoda and back to the tennis court for 3 more rounds of four corners & four Andre Agassis for good measure. LegKick loves it when I feather in some hard sprints, but he will pay me back when he Qs Coupon Friday I am sure.

Another lap had us stopping at the aforementioned pagoda and did a little Grind Bay North for Ping. 10 step ups the hard way followed by 5 derkins then 10 dips IC x 3.

Another quick loop and we hit the basketball court. We only had time for half of a Beast of a Workout. The three exercises were merkins, squats & E2K. Fortunately we had ElToro keeping everyone straight on which side of the E2K we were on at every stop, so no one got confused.

Moseyed back to the flag for a quick circle of pain capped off with 10 plankjacks in cadence in a half merkin hold position. At this point Winklevoss looked like he had just gotten out of the pool, so I knew I gave the guys a good beat down.

Side Hustle did the 6th Man Share. Great to get his insight into why he takes the DRP.
