When: 12/08/2022

PAX:

Number of Pax: 8

Pax Names: Hall Pass, Humboldt, Litterbug, Mai Tai, Pipes, Slinky, Spike, Startup,

Number of FNGS: 0

FNG Names:

QIC: Spike

The BackBlast:

Conditions :
47-48F and cloudy.  It had rained the day before, and the ground was still a bit moist.
Q : Spike

The PAX rolled in as the Q counted them.  Would there be enough to do some partner work?  Would there be an odd number?  And then right at 05:30, 8 PAX were there, joy!  YHC gave a hearty disclaimer, and off we went.

Warmup :

  1. 10x Michael Phelps IC
  2. 10x Little Baby Arm Circles IC
  3. 10x Reverse Little Baby Arm Circles IC
  4. 10x Moroccan Night Clubs IC
  5. 10x Abe Vigodas IC
  6. Plank Position – push down on toes (heels to ground) into Cobra stretch
  7. Best Stretch Ever – right leg 10 seconds, left leg 10 seconds
  8. Motivators from 10 to 1 – not a fan favorite!

Mosey around the park, stopping at the far-middle sidewalk (within sight of the “Speed Hump” sign), for 10 Monkey Humpers 10X IC, hoping for people passing by, but there were none.  Continued mosey to the VFW.

The Thang :  8 PAX a Leaping!

Partner up!  YHC asked the PAX to partner up based on weight, as best they could.  Always funny to see looks on faces after that request.
Then 11s in the VFW parking lot : 10 hand release merkins & 1 copperhead squat on the other side of the parking lot.
Frog hop with partner across parking lot, carry your partner on your back on the return trip.  Flip it next time.
Distance is about 4 parking spot lengths.

This took a bit longer than expected, but the PAX seemed to enjoy it (not!), although the sweat seemed to be rolling.

Mosey to the wall across from Boyant Hill.
People’s Chair with air presses – 10X IC
Balls to the Wall – 10 seconds for each PAX (80 seconds total!)  More groans during this, as Humboldt counts waaaaay too sloooow for many PAX (on purpose, of course!)

Mosey back to the VFW parking lot for some 6MOM and COT.
E2K 10X IC each leg
Flutter Kicks 10X IC
Superman Swims 10X IC
Heel touches 10X IC
Toe touches 10X IC

COUNT-O-RAMA / NAME-O-RAMA / Announcements on-site at the VFW, then a slow walk back to the flag for the picture.

It was a great morning, and a great opportunity to lead!  My legs were shaking at the end, and arms too, so hopefully someone else besides me got smoked. 🙂
