We have all had that feeling. You arrive at your destination. You pull open the back door. Go to grab that “thing”, and it isn’t there. You pick up the sweatshirt and the kids’ trash assuming that “thing” is underneath. Nothing. Slight panic. Wipe the sleep out of your eyes. Suddenly the realization sweeps over you and the image of that “thing” sitting by the back steps is crystal clear.
Epitomizing farm tough, @legkick powered through the beatdown like Tom Sawyer running along the banks of the Mississippi. We have all forgotten gloves, a hat, or extra layer. But this morning @legkick forgot shoes for a beatdown in the concrete jungle outside of the Radnor Township building.
No doubt, many of us would have said hello and then a quick goodbye, figuring it just wasn’t meant to be this morning. But @legkick never hesitated, ran in the median strip, over pebbles and through mulch.
So what is our excuse to miss now?
Warmup – total chaos in the counts when someone showed up without shoes.
Run to and from each median – 10 merkins at each, then 10 plank jacks and finish off with 5 burpees.
Proceed to skate park. A wave of plank jacks, with steps ups.
A couple hill runs. Followed by Mary.
Despite @Einstien once again skipping my Q, it was a truly memorable morning in the gloom with a terrific example of just pushing forward regardless of perceived obstacles. Always a way to make something work. Better than anything we could of said in the circle. Thanks @legkick.
Oh and we learned that @El Toro once sent his in laws a link with a not safe for work and definitely not safe for a family dinner picture.
On a more serious note – congrats to @Trigger. Genuine thank you for all you do and who you are. Big shoes to remember…..and fill.
